UpSpring Parent Support Group
UpSpring is a local, faith-based support group providing resources to empower and encourage parents whose children struggle with mental health disabilities.
Children's mental health issues can happen for many reasons such as prenatal drug exposure, maternal stress and birth complications, hereditary factors, trauma and other life experiences, or even prematurity. Mental illness effects families everywhere and can happen to anyone.
Baxter County has been greatly in need of a local support resource for mental health issues such as anxiety/depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, self harming behaviors, OCD, and ADHD.
UpSpring seeks to provide resources, support, and fellowship for parents walking this journey together.
Our monthly meetings are held every second Monday at Redeemer Luthern Church in Mountain Home - Center of Hope building from 6PM-7PM. Childcare is provided.
Every caring parent of a child who struggles with mental illness deserves access to knowledge and support. Not all therapies work for everyone. We are all trying to do what's best for our children. Currently this group is comprised of families just like you.
